PATCHWORK RUGS

This type of rug takes its name from the technique of textile manufacturing based on the joining of pieces of fabric to create new pieces. Although there are different ways of referring to this style in Spanish, the term patchwork is more widely used.

Traditionally, patchwork has been used to create bedspreads, tablecloths or other textiles for domestic use and now we also find it in rug design, which usually have that vintage air and artisan look that conveys the idea of patching or weaving based on leftovers.

In modern rugs, patchwork is applied directly to the design, i.e. this fashionable collage style is created on a uniform basis, filling rooms and halls with traditional beauty and craftsmanship, with the benefits of today's versatile and resistant materials.
