Centuries later, the manual looms would arrive and subsequently, the machines, that led to the great boom of this industry in the area in the twenties.
Even in the 80s and 90s, 90% of national rug production took place in Crevillente and today, the city continues to be the birthplace of the rug home to the leading companies in the rug industry in Spain.
